I have a set of Zoom H4n + Rode NTG-2 as an external audio recording source for DSLR.
All works nicely and beautifully. The microphone of course is connected by XLR. The battery is inside. Recording works, the Volume Control Levels on screen is at decent level. Headphone output is fine also.
The problem is after dropping a file into computer. When I play a file it is hard to hear anything. Shoudnt be perfect already?
Someone wrote on this forum that "Normalize" has to be done in the Zoom or in postproduction. But it is surely beside the point, because all the noise goes with normalize to the top.
So what is it? Someone had this problem or knows a solution?
thx for tips
